This email is about three weeks overdue.  I just wanted to thank you, Marcel, & the staff at Maluku Divers for an excellent couple of weeks.  As is the case with most trips, I had numerous minor issues with the equipment I brought along:  an electrical short, broken octopus, leaky O-rings, multiple broken fin straps, etc.  Fortunately, all problems were handled promptly & intelligently, so I was able to get all of my dives in.  I’d also like to add that the staff was extremely hard working during my stay.  Aside from the huge spider living in my bathroom—which I didn’t dare disturb—the room was kept fresh & clean at all times.  Most importantly, great care was taken with all diving gear (i.e. expensive cameras) both on and off the boats.  Anyway, I hope I can make Ambon diving a yearly event.

We had a wonderful stay at Maluku Divers and would be happy for you to share our trip report with others. We debated whether to include a few days at Maluku Divers in our Indonesia plans — we weren’t sure whether our whole family would enjoy muck diving, nor whether the cost (since there are the four of us) would be worthwhile. Our doubts dissipated quickly, and we greatly enjoyed our 4-day stay. No regrets! The resort and bungalows are lovely, the staff competent and attentive, and our 11 dives, all just a few minutes from the resort by boat, were excellent. Only our 15-year-old is a serious photographer, and he had the time of his life finding critters and talking photo stuff with Marcel. But the rest of us had a great time too. We appreciate being away from the crowds, and this is it — the frontier. Go now before the rest of the world catches on.
